Two makes a Pair
Ahhhh the age-old mystery. What happens to those socks that
go missing or go into hiding? Hubbie
was looking for a pair of socks. Nothing special/grand. Just a pair of socks. I
opened the drawer and there, staring at me were my pink socks/pink with green
flowers, but alas, no black socks!.
Cuddled with the pink socks were some
forlorn lonely all shapes and sizes single socks- I do my own washing, BUT
there are two grand children here most week ends and I can only assume they helped
themselves and with the carefree attitude of youth just throw one black one in
the bin, hence the 15 lonely socks without mates...so lonely and forlorn....
Many moons ago we had a boarder and he told met that little men come from Mars and use
single socks as fuel for their spaceships….I actually starting to believing his theory now.
Things that come in pairs operate together-they cannot be
without one another. Our lives are like that too. So many things operate n pairs to
make everything run smoothly.
Same as wool and needles, wool on its own is nothing until
it is created by needles into something else. Material without a pair of
‘cutters’ will stay one piece – they all inter-work with one another.
Here is a bag I made with some calm peaceful birds – the
birds and their wings – the birds with their water etc etc. The one photo has been transferred into a
picture, but still remains lovely to look at.
