Time was away….and so was my mind.....

The poem reads ‘’Time was away and somewhere else…’’ that is how I felt emotionally when my husband was put in the ambulance and then onto the hospital after a heart scare a few Saturdays ago…

I went into auto mode and had no words to comfort him – our eyes did the talking. After so many years together (39) words are often replaced by looking into the windows of the soul. Praise after spending 12 hours in the hospital and many tests he  was discharged and now needs a cardioversion in a few weeks time – I will deal with that when we have to cross that bridge.

Out of the old will come the new
Then it was the lying awake with concern and fear. Fear for the unknown which has knocked on our door. Only time will erase the fear and put the mind to ease. Life is so short, hundreds of thoughts run a marathon through the brain about everything and nothing can slow it down…..

I once again praise the lovely people who are called doctors and nurses. The care and love they showed us was so wonderful and we cannot praise them enough. Well done all of you out there. It is a vocation – not just a job.

The cold season seems to be dragging on and with all the goings on there was hardly any time to sit down and relax with a needle in the hand. The blanket I am busy crocheting gave me a purpose with each automatic stitch I did. It kept my fingers and mind occupied, but a a dull way as there was no creations in my brain – just auto mode…..

Enough of all our woes and troubles! Start each day with a positive thought the saying goes and the rest will follow! So I will keep my chin up and walk tall and wait for the next bridge to cross. I just hope the toll is not too much to cross it.

Well, this little tic toc brain did a few things in between to keep the mind from falling apart, so here we go!

I bought some lonely lost napkins from the charity shop (they called my name whilst I passed). It is not that I  have not enough material already.....and made something new out of them.

Soft in Pink the napkin got a new purpose in life

Out of the old came the new

Simple and plain...a little birdie decorated with glass beads

Cross each bridge as they appear
on our daily paths and keep on crafting!

Luvvies x
